Kybri Consulting is the practice of Kyle Brits: fractional MLRO, compliance officer and board director, with more than fifteen years across law, corporate services, fintech, virtual assets, payments and the wider digital economy. This page is about him, because when you work with Kybri, he is who you get.
Most compliance advisers have only ever advised. Kyle has been the Managing Director of a VASP and payments group, the MLRO personally accountable to the regulator across several licensed entities, and an FSA-approved director on VASP and MSB boards. He has signed the returns, taken the inspection, had the hard conversation with the bank, and carried the outcome.
That is why the advice is different. He knows what a framework costs to run, which controls actually catch anything, how a regulator reads an application and where a board’s attention should be. It is technical where it needs to be and practical everywhere else.
He also knows where his work stops. Kybri is not a law firm, a corporate service provider or a regulated entity, and Kyle will tell you when you need one.

He has statutory compliance appointments under the Isle of Man Financial Services Authority, the Gambling Supervision Commission and FINTRAC in Canada, and contributed to the Isle of Man’s development of its Crypto Travel Rule and CARF legislation. He completed his LLB (Hons) with First Class honours while running the practice, won the Digital Isle of Man Tech Superstar award in 2023, and is a regular contributor to regulatory consultations and industry events.

Kyle lives on an island with a famous motorcycle race, a lot of coastline and very good clay-pigeon grounds, and he makes use of all three. TT fortnight is blocked out in the diary every year. The rest of the time you will find him on a shooting stand, in the sea, or explaining to a regulator why a client’s transaction monitoring rules are set the way they are. He finds the last one surprisingly relaxing.
Kyle works from the Isle of Man with clients on both sides of the Atlantic, remotely and on site, in whichever time zone the regulator happens to be in.
